PUSH hosted a children protection event, children and adults marched. The event took place on 1 June 2019 from Kliptown extension 7 to the police station in ext. 1.

The march was a peaceful march with children having posters written ‘SASSA money is mine; stop raping us; a No is a No; give me the attention I need and protect me from him. Through this messages, children were informing the communities of their grievances. They were also informing their families and crying out to them. This march was for parents to open their eyes and see the damage they do to children if they do not play the role of being their parents and protecting them.
